Abstract:

Establishing a business model based on the premises of the circular economy (CE) is one of the greatest modern challenges. Converting into a new economic model requires from entrepreneurs to shift towards management based on an Environmental Management System (EMS). Taking into consideration the existing necessity for combining economic, environmental and social benefits, the goal of this paper was established as identifying the types of benefits businesses can possibly draw by implementing the tools facilitating realization of the circular economy.
