Tools for Implementing the Cooperative Strategy: The Outsourcer Selection Model

Abstract:

The increase in the role of cooperative strategies in ensuring the competitiveness of modern companies is shown. A brief overview of the essence and practical approach of various strategies and forms of cooperation is presented. As the basic forms of cooperation strategic alliances and networks are considered, prospects of development of business ecosystems are marked (Business ecosystem). The place and role of outsourcing in the system of cooperation interactions are shown, its opportunities and risks are revealed. The necessary conditions for the successful application of outsourcing are identified. The expediency of using the strategy of outsourcing by Russian machinery-building enterprises was created. An approach for choosing an outsourcer based on the risk of usage reduction is proposed. A model for choosing an outsourcer based on the quality function unfolding method was developed. The list of requirements of the machinery-building enterprise to the outsourcing organization is developed based on the example of providing services related to maintenance, repair and modernization of industrial equipment, and all of the necessary characteristics (competence) of the outsourcer were determined. The advantages of the developed model is the complex nature of the assessment, taking into account the ambiguous nature of the relationship between the requirements of the customer company and the characteristics of the outsourcer, as well as visibility and ease of use.
