Abstract:
Romania is a country with a great tourist potential. However, for the time being, the tourism sector has not experienced a spectacular development due to the impediments that have arisen, both in the Ministry of Tourism, and at the level of the other institutions involved in this field. According to the NAT leadership, in order to attract an increasing number of tourists in the coming period, our country would need intensive foreign promotion. This could be possible, both by developing brands in tourist destinations, and by creating specific tourist products. In addition, the promotional activity at country level also depends to a large extent on how marketing is applied in tourism. In this paper, we analysed how the projects funded through the ROP and the NRDP contributed to the development of tourism in the country.
