Towards Dynamic Control of Users Privacy

Abstract:

In context aware systems, it is expected that users’ context would play an important role in controlling their privacy requirements. Users’ context would be dynamic in nature. Consequently, new ways of describing privacy data practices are required in order to handle context dynamics. In this paper, we propose a data practices model that takes into account a weighting mechanism of practices. This weighting mechanism is further used to infer a privacy threat level associated with the use of a certain information collector data practices. We introduce a prototype together with a case example where the proposed approach has been applied.
