The influence of globalization on post-graduate professional training has imposed at the level of the forming institutions the adaptation of their educational programs to the new requirements and challenges imposed by this. The paper aims to present how one of the largest and most important technical universities in Romania, University Politehnica of Bucharest (UPB) has understood to meet the professional requirements faced by labor resources as members of a European country and to bring arguments in favor of extending its educational practices and policies. Promoting and sustaining flexible educational programs, generating educational outputs applicable in many areas of economic and social life denotes from the university an increased adaptability to change, a modern vision of the educational process and receptiveness to the needs of the beneficiaries. The mission and the training objectives within the mentioned institution are harmonized both internally, on a multi-level basis, and, externally, with the needs and requirements identified on the labor market.
