Abstract:
In order to build virile society that have inclusive principles in the public administration and governance, transformational leadership which recognises idealised influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualised consideration was examined. This qualitative phenomenological study aimed to shift Nigeria 's leadership orientation by the use of dialogue between stakeholders to solve the unabated issue of humanitarian issues facing people. Due to the lack of leadership literature in addressing administrative public sector abnormally within the Nigerian context to resolve issues facing their people, this study was conducted. This study was anchored on strategic leadership management theories.
This study used qualitative phenomenological philosophy. This paper provides a connection between transformational leadership and stakeholder engagement for sustainable good governance, building on the NLDS (2020) framework and leadership literature.
Findings from current literature indicate that the adverse situation in Nigeria has been caused by non-charlatan attitudes and lack of adequate planning among leaders in attaining good governance.
Based on these findings, the study recommended that there should be a fundamental reform of public services in Nigeria, including the education system, so that school curriculum leadership preparation can be implemented throughout the country. Also, participatory decision making system through the engagement of stakeholders would promote growth, even-development, and relevance in Nigeria and among the committee of nations.
Future studies should include more empirical researches into the practicality of transformative leadership through dialogue within the context and content of good governance in Nigeria in addressing humanitarian issues.
