Abstract:
In a working world that is becoming increasingly complex and fast-paced, both employees and managers are faced with a multitude of new challenges. Managers play an important role in shaping the corporate culture and promoting employee development. One promising and proven leadership method is transformational leadership. The transformational leadership style is characterised by a leader/supervisor who generates intrinsic motivation in their employees by embodying the company's own values and culture to the outside world. The supervisor himself thus becomes an ideal image that offers employees an orientation that enables them to realise their full potential. This paper examines the leadership style of transformational leadership and analyses its applications in today's business world.
