Transition Skills Profile Developed in a Concerted Effort of Youth, Educators and Employers based on Delphi Hybrid Method

Abstract:

The purpose of the research presented in the paper was to identify the framework of skills that are of importance for successful transition from education to work and to develop a list of collaborative ways of supporting the development of these skills. The author outlines the theoretical background of inevitable metamorphoses and the need to acquire and apply skills to successfully cope with transition challenges in the life span. The author also provides a short review of the Delphi hybrid methodology and its application in the research. The paper focuses on profiling transition skills in a collaborative process with participation of youth, educators and employers in the role of experts. The final part of the paper focuses on transition skills development.
