Transparency in Banking Financial Reporting Evaluation System

Abstract:

This paper analyses the public annual reports of different banks, on the data and information exposed inside them, to determine how the transparency is approached by each bank and the level of confidence that it creates. In the same time, the paper tries to define a system of best practices of transparency of data that should be exposed as a minimal requirement trying to propose a mathematical model for reporting evaluation system that show the level of transparency of the bank and same time trying to identify any misuse or trying to hide sensitive data. The scope of the mathematical system to calculate the transparency level is to determine the trust level that a person should or can have in the bank and, in the same time, showing the stability of the future of the bank.
