Abstract:

Agriculture is a major branch of the national economy in all states, being the largest and most secure source of food, an important supplier of raw materials for the production and export industries.

Romania has a very important role on the maize market given the significant quantities it produces, being in full rising in terms of production and exports, reaching in 2017 the largest EU maize producer with an estimated production to 13 million tons.
