Abstract:

scientific purpose of the article is to present current state of intermodal transport market in Poland. Later, based on studies, the authors define and describe main development trends that have contributed to this state: European Union's transport policy, development of so called: New Silk Road, attitude of companies that are present on the market. The authors note that the awareness of the factors that have shaped the development of the industry is important because allows to properly shape further pro-development policies.
