Abstract:
In an ever-developing society, Romania is taking steps to develop its electronic banking services to meet 21st century global standards. The ebanking services will gain the attention of a major part of the traditional banking services customer because of the great importance of the financial activities within the daily life. The obstacles encountered in the implementation of electronic version for the banking transactions include different categories of factors. This paper will evaluate the trust in the overall Romanian banking system and their capacity to assure the security and confidentiality of the transactions, the legal framework regarding security and the people’s mistrust and lack of familiarity with ebanking transactions as factors that influence the ebanking usage level in Romania.
