Two-Generation Collaboration as a Way to Increase Productivity and Employee Satisfaction in the Companies

Abstract:

Transferring knowledge to the next generations is a basic principle not only of humanity but also it is the way how to make an organization more successful. Nowadays organizations are using different ways to become more competitive, how to increase not only productivity but also the job satisfaction of the young generation. One of the proven ways is to use the knowledge and experience of the older generation, the retirement generation. With their paternal-maternal charisma, they transmit not only the confidence to young employees but also the useful knowledge, experience and Know-How. This situation is beneficial for both parties and the organization also benefits from higher productivity, higher job satisfaction and higher loyalty of young employees. It creates in the work environment an empathic and ethically valuable relationship. The main aim of the article is to point out the importance of reintegration of pensioners in organizations concerning newly hired and young employees. Partial goals are pointed out the impact of this reintegration on the efficiency of teams with and without retirees, on personality modification, as well as evaluating the impact on job satisfaction. Elaboration of theoretical basics targeted on selected problems is required for achieving goals. The research fundamentally bases on literature review. The method of qualitative content analysis by Mayring and Fenzl (2019) has been used to analyse the literature and interpret the findings. The coding system of MAXQDA based on evolution by Kuckartz (2019) is used achieving a structured analysis. Scientific methods as well synthesis, deduction and comparations are used by the elaboration of the chosen problematic.
