Universal Platform for Geophysical Sensor Devices

Abstract:

Geophysical measurements are one of the most conservative type of measurements. Currently, the demand on this instrument for geophysical measurements and mainly for mineral exploration devices is increasing significantly. However, the progress in the information technologies gives us an opportunity to find out an adequate answer to these challenges. This paper presents the results of developing the universal platform for the geophysical devices as the main method of their production. Such devices are based on the universal platform which is designed primarily for the geological measurement purposes that are performed in the mode of either motion or stationary deployment of the device at the certain point. This universal platform is based on a set of modules and components of hardware and software that supports the creation of new devices. Thus, the creation of any new device may mean the integration of the universal module and component of the platform. This platform allows us to develop new devices and systems for the regular pipelined process. It reduces time spent on it and the cost of production significantly. Besides, it can be also used to create a sensory devices for geotechnical, environmental, industrial measurement and monitoring as well. At last this solution has been already tested and evaluated successfully.
