Urban freight restocking tours simulations for JIT and EOQ

Abstract:

The just-in-time (JIT) and optimal order quantity (EOQ) are top logistics issues that takes place in modern theory and practice. Influence of consumer-driven tendency makes compel to upgrade restocking system. Defining the model of supply which minimize total costs and increase profits. Urban freight restocking tours for JIT and EOQ systems in Ukraine was presented. The efficiency of using each of system was obtained basing on material flow volume simulation. The total cost of restocking tours was used as efficiency indicator. The paper formalized interaction relationship models of material and financial flows interaction. Identifying patterns influence of parameters of the transportation process on logistics technology selection according total costs of its functioning.
