Usability Design Patterns and Guidelines Ontology-Based Infrastructure

Abstract:

The knowledge about the recognized way to design GUI (graphical User Interfaces) that meets user need and expectation come under the umbrella of usability patterns. The usability patterns can easily be found in books, private repositories and in the internet. However, the focus on pattern creation have often neglected the need to organize these patterns to develop better interfaces. The focus of this pattern is to turn informal concept to formal ones that can support systematic design. Moreover, the method will convert loosely coupled pattern collection to strongly pattern languages that represents software pattern and their concept through which usability pattern can be applied.
