Abstract:
Currently, farms face the challenges of contemporary agriculture, natural environment, and agribusiness. Conducting activities as part of the common sectoral policy which cater for diverse needs requires policy makers to develop advanced tools aimed at monitoring the implementation of scheduled results. In addition, farmers should apply effective management based on advanced decision-making tools and with the sectoral policy priorities factored in. The unfolding advancement of the digital economy creates an opportunity of using the so far unavailable data resources and cutting-edge data processing technologies to increase the analysis and assessment of the effectiveness of existing policies in the field of agriculture, environmental protection and mitigation of climate. The purpose of this article is to analyze and evaluate the usefulness of national and regional databases in agricultural and environmental management against the objectives and priorities of the CAP.
