Abstract:

Data mining has received a lot of attention in the last decade as a mechanism of classification and prediction. Cluster analysis is one of the most crucial data mining techniques that has been extensively used in classification and prediction. The Holly Qur'an is known for being an independent corpus of infinite knowledge and whose rich secrets continue to be revealed with the passage of time, hence, it deserves an independent study.  This research applies the cluster analysis technique to a sample data set from the Holly Qur'an to classify its chapters into two clusters (Makkeya and Madaniya). Results showed that the clustering technique successfully recognised members of the two groups.
