Utilisation of Selected Services of eGovernment by Citizens of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

The present article focuses on utilisation of selected services of eGovernment by citizens of the Czech Republic.  The internet inquiry carried out by its authors targeted selected eGovernment services, their use by citizens now and readiness of the respondents to begin to use them in future. The survey also partially focused on assessment of technical readiness of the country population to communicate with public administration. The outcome allows for an interesting comparison of individual ideas of the respondents of eGovernment and its parts and the real situation in the Czech Republic. Another interesting option is following the reasons why some people are careful in relation to the services offered by eGovernment in the Czech Republic and rather prefer other forms of communication with public administrative authorities than electronic communication.
