Abstract:

This paper presents the European legislation transposed in recycling activity and the use of economic instruments in the activities of recycling waste material, as well as the economic implications that justify this activity.

A model is described for optimizing waste material transportation to minimize expenses. The model can be applied by specialized companies, which aim to minimize the costs of each center location of collection, storage and demand position knowing each waste recovery plant.
