Abstract:
The development and improvement of new technologies are leading companies to rethink their methods, processes, and practices in several areas. In human resources, this trend is also present. Despite this growing trend of integrating new technologies in human resources, there is no systematic information on what is being done, how, and with what results. This paper tries to fill this gap by presenting the results of a systematic literature review about the use of virtual and augmented reality in human resources management and development. The results show that the use of these technologies is still in a very early stage, requiring more in-depth research, but the results so far are promising, namely in terms of the impact that this technology can produce in some human resources management and development processes. Future paths of research are also pointed out.
