Abstract:
Due to rapid growth population in Jakarta, many conversion lands happened. In order to fulfill resident needs, the government must develop the areas. According to urban growth, residence becomes the main need in every area, not only the horizontal building but also vertical building. Furthermore, every decent residence must have a wastewater facility, specifically sewage sludge treatment. Equally important, considering domestic waste produced from the residence and their economic activity, it affected groundwater because it is interconnected with wastewater. Fecal pollution become threatened issues according to groundwater sanitation, nevertheless people were being ignorant about it, as long as they can use in for daily needs it is not a problem for them. Particularly women as a housewife that have an important role and duty in the household due to water needs. It is important to inform people of the importance due to managing the sewage sludge wastewater for sustainability groundwater sources along with a healthy society. This research employs a qualitative approach with secondary data of sewage sludge wastewater treatment in Jakarta. Women participation become enumerator similarly with the driven subject in society, which effectively becomes a driving agent in their surroundings. This research aims to explain and analyze the importance of women participation due to managing fecal wastewater. In order to provide clean groundwater, the resident also took a preventive program to remove as much of the disposal sewage before fecal pollution happened. Emphasizing that human needs natural resources to support in their habitat particularly water.
