Abstract:

The assumptions of the fourth industrial revolution are aimed at developing the digitization of enterprises. One of the driving factors is the use XR technologies: augmented reality (AG), virtual (VR) and mixed (MR). Building a dedicated virtual environment supports knowledge management in terms of its formalization and transfer. The huge potential of AR technology finds practical use in the production, technology and maintenance departments. The publication describes the concept of using augmented reality as support for quick changeovers in line with SMED assumptions. The dedicated iSMEDs system, as a result of gaining technical knowledge, enables building intelligent instructions based on a template assigned to a group of products. The implementation of such a solution may affect faster and safer implementation of changeovers, elimination of human errors and reduction of internal training time.
