Abstract:
This paper aims at contributing to the research concerning quality care in Healthcare sector through the investigation of motivations, work values and career ambitions of a new generation of nurses. The importance of individuals’ wellbeing and job satisfaction among health-care employees is well recognize for increasing quality of the care service. Further, the turbulence of nursing labor market and extremely staff shortage push the healthcare organizations to invest in their human resources in order to create conditions for their development and wellbeing. This paper, highlights and reviews previous empirical studies on young nurses values and attitudes toward this profession and work environment. Further, contributions on human resources as determinants of quality in healthcare service are investigated. In conclusion, some propositions will be presented for further research in this area in order to give support to policy makers and healthcare organizations for managing young nurses generations.
